Sandra McAulay – Personal Reflection
Using technology to enhance presentation and learning in the classroom. Differentiate learning for all learners – give options both to the way in which the learning is demonstrated and, in the way, that the information is given to the learners in the first place.
Any student can benefit from having the work that they are doing differentiated, not only that, but the process of differentiation opens things up so students who might need to have their work presented or completed in a different way do not feel like they are being singled out when there are options given for how to complete an assignment.
By providing technology for everyone, it changes that whole class and the way that they interact with technology, not just the student that needs to learn to use technology. I appreciated that Sandra wanted the students to be comfortable with various forms of technology and her offering of suggestions and apps that could support all learners.
